Station Road update

September 13, 2019

Station Road (B7059) will be closed along its length on 18th September 2019 for 3 days, between the hours of 8:00 and 15:30 each day.

Alternative route:

Northbound – via A701, A72, A721, A702 and B7059 to point of closure.

Southbound – the above in reverse.

(local residents may choose to use an alternative route)

Access for pedestrian and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.

Whilst we will try to give access to residents and businesses located within the closed section of B7059, we kindly ask if you could keep you vehicular movements to an absolute minimum.

The road is closed for both the safety of those working on the road and local residents.  If you do require vehicular access along the closed section of the B7059 and do happen upon the squad working in the road, please drive carefully and expect delays.

The works will involve planing out the defective carriageway including the defective utility track and doing a tarmac reinstatement.  Unfortunately due to budgetary restrictions, it unrealistic to think we will manage to get the whole of the B7059 carriageway from West Linton Village to the A701 patched this year, but we will do our best with the budget we have.
